Al Markhiya Gallery is Qatar’s oldest privately owned gallery, presenting emerging and established artists from the Arab World through a year-round programme of solo and group exhibitions. Originally founded in Souq Waqif in 2008, the gallery relocated to Building 5 at Katara Cultural Village in December 2014 and opened a second location at The Fire Station Studios in September 2017. Exhibitions rotate every six to eight weeks and are complemented by opening receptions that foster direct engagement between artists, collectors, and the local arts community.
