About the work

A concrete cube cast with lace, from the Delicate Matter series, in which the softness of domestic textile is impressed into the hardness of building material — tenderness and rubble held in a single object. Shown in Silent Witnesses at al markhiya gallery, Katara Cultural Village, Doha (2026), an exhibition examining how familiar objects rooted in intimacy and routine take on new meanings when recontextualised through violence, displacement and fragmentation.
