About the work

An embroidered panel on Majdalawi linen bearing the phrase "home street home" beneath a row of tatreez motifs, reflecting on shelter, displacement and the street as a home. Shown in Silent Witnesses at al markhiya gallery, Katara Cultural Village, Doha (2026), an exhibition examining how familiar objects rooted in intimacy and routine take on new meanings when recontextualised through violence, displacement and fragmentation.
