About the work

A ceramic serving platter for a single person, its fractured segments mended with gold — evoking shared meals and the hospitality of the table, reduced to one. Shown in Silent Witnesses at al markhiya gallery, Katara Cultural Village, Doha (2026), an exhibition examining how familiar objects rooted in intimacy and routine take on new meanings when recontextualised through violence, displacement and fragmentation.
