Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art is a public museum housed in a renovated former school building within Education City, Doha. Founded in 2010 and co-owned by Qatar Museums and Qatar Foundation, it maintains over 9,000 artworks, constituting the world’s largest specialized collection of modern and contemporary Arab art. The institution operates permanent galleries, commissions major exhibitions, hosts artist residencies, and provides multilingual audio guides alongside regular educational workshops. Public entry is free, though advance ticket booking is required.
