About this district

Elahiyeh is one of the oldest and most affluent quarters of northern Tehran — a district of old gardens, embassies and villas on the slopes below Tajrish, holding a handful of intimate house-museums rather than a gallery cluster. Its draw is quiet and specific: the preserved home of a great Iranian scientist, a museum of Persian music, and the leafy character of the old north itself. The scale is domestic. The pace is unhurried.
