Untitled II

About the work

A large relief of painted aluminium mounted across multiple stainless steel mesh sheets. Layered in depth, the crushed metal forms a dense, rhythmic surface that plays with light, shadow and transparency. Shown in In Search of Material Within Material at Leila Heller Gallery Dubai, the work reflects Nai's practice of transforming modest, distinctly Indian materials while preserving their history and memory.
