About the work
Root 06 (2024) belongs to Al Qubaisi's Root series, sculptures in which branching, root-like forms evoke rootedness in the land, inherited memory and the deep ties between people and place. Shown in Between Land and Sea at Leila Heller Gallery Dubai, the work reflects Al Qubaisi's engagement with Emirati heritage, the desert landscape, sustainability and traditional craft.
