Address Sky View — The Sky Bridge

A three-storey sky bridge slung 220 metres above Downtown, joining twin towers with a cantilevered glass Skywalk and infinity pool.

Address Sky View is a twin-tower hotel and residential complex in Downtown Dubai, developed by Emaar Properties and designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) — the architects of the neighbouring Burj Khalifa. The towers, one of 61 storeys and one of 56, rise to roughly 260 metres and opened in 2021. Their curving profiles were conceived to echo the soft forms shaped by wind across desert sand.

The complex's defining feature is the Sky Bridge that links the two towers near their summit. Raised over 220 metres above the ground, the bridge is 85 metres long, 22 metres high and up to 30 metres wide, built from around 4,500 tonnes of structural steel across three storeys. It was assembled and lifted into place in 2017 in a demanding engineering operation carried out in winds of up to 80 km/h. The bridge carries a 70-metre infinity pool that looks directly onto Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain, along with the Sky Collection duplex residences and the CÉ LA VI restaurant.

The bridge also holds the Sky Views Observatory, a public attraction on levels 52 and 53 offering 360-degree views of Downtown from about 219.5 metres. Two experiences push beyond the glass: a fully glazed cantilevered Skywalk and Edge Walk that lets harnessed visitors step to the observation corridor outside the building, and a transparent Glass Slide that carries riders in an enclosed tube from level 53 down to level 52.

Exhibo editorial

The trick of the Sky Bridge is that it makes 220 metres of empty air feel like a place you can stand. From the street the two towers read as an elegant pair leaning toward each other; it's only when you're up on the deck, with the infinity pool pouring toward Burj Khalifa and the fountains firing below, that the drop underneath you registers.

SOM built the tower that defines this whole skyline, and here they've turned the same precision to the gap between two buildings rather than the buildings themselves. Come at dusk, when the observatory catches the sunset on one side and the Downtown lights on the other, and — if your nerve holds — let the glass slide do the last two floors for you.

How to find it

Address Sky View stands on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard in Downtown Dubai, a short walk from The Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa. The exterior and Sky Bridge are visible from the Boulevard and the surrounding Downtown streets. To go up, buy a Sky Views Observatory ticket; access is via dedicated shuttle elevators in the towers to levels 52–53, where the observatory, Skywalk and Glass Slide are located.
