Konrad Fischer Galerie

Curatorial Ethos

The gallery serves as a platform for dialogue between artistic movements and generations, championing Minimal and Conceptual Art since its inception while continuing to represent a legacy of innovation through both established historical figures and emerging international artists.

Konrad Fischer Galerie is a pioneering commercial gallery founded in Düsseldorf in 1967 by Konrad and Dorothee Fischer, which opened its Berlin space in 2007. Under the current direction of Berta Fischer, the gallery maintains two locations: a historic site in Düsseldorf and a Berlin venue housed in a protected former electrical substation at Neue Grünstraße 12. The institution is recognized as a vital part of the international contemporary art landscape, with a history spanning nearly five decades.
