About this district
A terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport, and the venue for the Islamic Arts Biennale — 120,000 square metres of exhibition space under a canopy of fibreglass tents suspended from steel pylons. Built for pilgrims, used every other year as one of the largest exhibition spaces in the region. When the biennale is not running, it is an airport terminal.
