About the work
Solitude (2026) is one of the largest canvases in the exhibition, a still interior inhabited by a single presence. Sharif's flattened space and restrained palette turn the room into an image of isolation and quiet self-reflection. Shown in Allusive Veil, Hisham Sharif's first solo exhibition at Ayyam Gallery and in the UAE, which offers a vulnerable, nuanced portrayal of life through painted interiors that act as emotional landscapes.
