About the work
Moonlight (2026) is a large canvas bathed in nocturnal light, in which a solitary interior becomes a space of reverie and introspection, its colours softened by the glow of the moon. Shown in Allusive Veil, Hisham Sharif's first solo exhibition at Ayyam Gallery and in the UAE, which offers a vulnerable, nuanced portrayal of life through painted interiors that act as emotional landscapes.
