About the work
Chase (2026) introduces a sense of movement and pursuit into Sharif's otherwise hushed rooms, with animal and human presences hinting at desire, fear and the restlessness beneath everyday life. Shown in Allusive Veil, Hisham Sharif's first solo exhibition at Ayyam Gallery and in the UAE, which offers a vulnerable, nuanced portrayal of life through painted interiors that act as emotional landscapes.
