Dove

About the work

A ceramic dove presented as a sound sculpture on a plinth. The work belongs to The Canticle of the Birds, Kameli's reinterpretation of Farid ud-Din Attar's Persian poem in which a flock crosses seven valleys in search of its king. Long associated with peace and the soul, the dove joins the flock of clay birds whose recorded voices together compose the installation's polyphonic canticle.
