The district around Cultural Square, near King Abdul Aziz Street — landscaped grounds, traditional fountains, and a set of civic cultural institutions including Sharjah Public Library and the Quran Academy. Domes, arches and calligraphy across the façades. Open space in a city that does not have much of it.
