About the work

Suspended from the ceiling and rising almost five metres, this wool tapestry is composed of coloured triangles woven together using a ridging technique, producing a dual pattern that only reveals itself as the viewer moves around it. Made in collaboration with the textile studio Dash & Miller, it extends Begum's long engagement with geometric abstraction, light and colour into the soft medium of wool. Shown in Taking Form, Begum's fifth solo exhibition at The Third Line, Dubai.
