The Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding occupies a restored wind-tower house at House 26, Al Musallah Street, in Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood. Founded in 1998, it brings residents, expatriates and visitors together with Emirati hosts over meals, mosque visits, heritage walks and conversation. Its motto is "Open Doors. Open Minds."
