About the work
From Kaluza's Transit series, this large oil on canvas depicts a landscape with near-photographic precision, its dense foliage, water and light rendered as if preserved in a timeless present. Presented in From Dust to Bloom at JD Malat Gallery Dubai, the painting reflects Kaluza's view of nature as something in constant transformation, where an apparently idyllic scene is quietly unsettled by disruptions that call its beauty into question.
