About the work
Part of the new Impact series, this work moves towards a looser, near-abstract treatment of nature, presenting another stage in the same process of transformation that runs through Kaluza's hyper-realistic canvases. Presented in From Dust to Bloom at JD Malat Gallery Dubai, the painting reflects Kaluza's view of nature as something in constant transformation, where an apparently idyllic scene is quietly unsettled by disruptions that call its beauty into question.
