About the work

A large, glossy red sphere mounted at the centre of a white gallery wall: an oversized replica of a clown's nose, cast in steel. In the exhibition it is accompanied by the sound of applause from an old radio, so that the wall itself seems to become the giant face of a clown – a nod to Ingar Dragset's early training at a commedia school in Copenhagen, where clowning was part of the curriculum.
