Tashkeel’s programme focuses on nurturing contemporary art and design to empower the UAE’s creative industries through professional development, experimentation, and discourse. It supports this mission via initiatives like the Critical Practice residency, Tanween design incubator, and commercial consultancy Tasmeem Tashkeel, which embeds UAE-made art and design into society and the economy.
Tashkeel is a multidisciplinary cultural hub and studio complex in Dubai founded in 2008 by Sheikha Lateefa bint Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Operating from locations in Nad Al Sheba and Alserkal Avenue, it provides specialist studio facilities, residencies, and exhibition spaces for visual artists and designers. The venue hosts an annual programme of workshops, talks, and exhibitions aimed at practitioner development and public engagement within the UAE's creative landscape.
