Art Mill will show modern and contemporary art from every region on equal terms, turning Doha's working waterfront into a museum, garden and studio quarter for the next generation.
Art Mill Museum is Qatar Museums' future museum of international modern and contemporary art on a former flour mill site along the Corniche, due to open in 2030. Alejandro Aravena's studio ELEMENTAL won the 2016 architecture competition to adapt the industrial mill and its concrete silos, with a public garden by VOGT Landscape Architects. The campus will complete a Corniche triangle with the Museum of Islamic Art and the National Museum of Qatar. Collections built over forty years span from 1850 to the present across painting, sculpture, photography, architecture, design, film, fashion and craft, with a creative village on site.
