32Bis positions itself as a laboratory of ideas and a space for exchange dedicated to research, artistic creation, and the sharing of knowledge. Its core mission is to support the local and regional art scene while enhancing its international reputation, specifically focusing on contemporary practices from Arab countries, Africa, and the Global South through its media library and programming.
32Bis is a cultural association and contemporary art center located in the heart of downtown Tunis, housed in two renovated buildings that formerly served as the Phillips head office since 1953. The venue spans 4,000 m² and features a specialized media library, an artist residency program with accommodation and workshops, and over 2,000 m² dedicated to exhibitions across three floors. Since 2021, it has actively organized individual and group exhibitions, artistic residencies, and support programs for young talents while fostering dialogue between researchers, art professionals, and the public.
