Curatorial Ethos

Sohrab Gallery aims to bridge traditional Iranian artistic heritage with contemporary global dialogues, prioritizing artists who explore human values and socio-cultural themes. The programme seeks to elevate the international profile of Iranian art while actively developing the careers of emerging talents through curated solo and group exhibitions.

Sohrab Art Gallery is a commercial contemporary art space founded in 2014 by collector and marketer Shahin Torkaman. Based in Tehran with a secondary presence in London, the gallery presents dozens of solo and group exhibitions annually, focusing on both established Iranian masters and emerging contemporary voices. Its programme spans painting, sculpture, and photography, featuring artists such as Nasser Ovissi, Sadegh Tabrizi, and Alireza Espahbod. The gallery operates Saturday through Wednesday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
