Curatorial Ethos

Galerist strives to be a vital conduit between the local Turkish art scene and the global community, attaching importance to equal gender representation in its visibility. Its programme includes curatorial partnerships with prominent institutions worldwide and publishing through Unlimited Publications, which releases monographs and catalogues on significant artists.

Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Istanbul’s Passage Petits-Champs since 2011, Galerist is a leading contemporary art gallery championing innovative Turkish artists and preserving the estates of pioneers. The gallery maintains an equal gender representation across its roster and operates a 250-square-metre exhibition space for solo and group shows. It actively engages with the global art market by participating in prestigious fairs such as Frieze, The Armory Show, and ARCOmadrid.
