Dirimart — gallery cover

Curatorial Ethos

The gallery's programme prioritizes conceptual depth, political resistance, and intellectual rigor, aiming to challenge the traditional gallery model through critical dialogue. Dirimart fosters cosmopolitanism and collaboration while supporting individual and regional differences, presenting works that engage with modern human experience and diverse artistic practices.

Dirimart is a contemporary art gallery founded in Istanbul in 2002 by Hazer Özil, currently celebrating its 24th year. The gallery operates two locations in Beyoğlu (Dolapdere and Pera) and maintains a presence in London. It represents a roster of established Turkish and international artists, including Fahrelnissa Zeid, Tony Cragg, and İnci Eviner, while also supporting emerging talents like Berke Yazıcıoğlu.
