Curatorial Ethos
The gallery pursues a dual mission to showcase Syrian art in its most authentic form—highlighting distinct visual languages and cultural heritage—while nurturing emerging and established creatives across painting, sculpture, photography, and installation. Through curated exhibitions, intergenerational workshops, and collaborative grants, it fosters a dynamic ecosystem that encourages experimentation and cultural continuity within the Syrian art scene.
Founded in 1994 in Damascus by Samer Kozah, the gallery operates as a dedicated platform for contemporary Syrian art and collectors. Based in the historic Old City near Bab Touma, it regularly presents solo and group exhibitions alongside educational workshops and artist awards. The space actively bridges local talent with international audiences through participation in global art fairs and cross-disciplinary showcases.
