Nabil Helou (b. 1969) is a Lebanese sculptor whose practice explores the relationship between form, movement, material and space. Living and working in Lebanon, he has developed a career spanning more than three decades, marked by continuous experimentation with volume and void, the essence of what he considers the fourth dimension. He earned a Master's degree in Visual Arts from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA) in 1995 and specialised in sculpture and virtual sculpture at ENSAC in France in 1997–1998. He later taught sculpture at ALBA, mentoring a new generation of artists. Helou has exhibited extensively in Lebanon and internationally, has taken part in sculpture symposiums in China, Morocco, Canada, Syria, Iraq, Oman and Egypt, and has received numerous awards and medals.
