Curatorial Ethos
The foundation’s programme focuses on advancing art practice and pedagogy in the MENA region by fostering critical dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and interdisciplinary experimentation. It supports artists through long-term residencies, public programmes, and exhibitions that examine historical contexts, societal models, and collective memory.
MMAG Foundation is a non-profit contemporary art institution founded in 2017 and situated in Jabal Amman, Jordan. Originally established with support from the Abu Ghazaleh family and registered with the Jordanian Ministry of Culture, it operates a physical campus featuring shared studios and multifunctional exhibition spaces. The foundation hosts a year-round programme of artist residencies, exhibitions, workshops, study groups, and public screenings. It provides a dedicated platform for regional and international artists to engage in research, experimentation, and critical dialogue.
