Bab Sharqi

The eastern gate district, named for the ancient entrance to the walled city, running inland from the sea through dense residential and commercial streets. The Royal Jewelry Museum sits here in a former palace, and the quarter carries the transition from the old centre out toward the eastern suburbs.
