The National Museum of Oman operates as the Sultanate’s premier cultural institution, established by Royal Decree in November 2013 and situated opposite Al Alam Palace in Old Muscat. It presents Oman’s cultural heritage from prehistoric times to the present across 14 thematic halls housing over 7,000 carefully selected artifacts. The venue features a dedicated learning centre, conservation laboratories, temporary exhibition spaces, and interactive digital displays to support public education and historical preservation.
