Alwaha

A sanctuary for the senses

ALWAHA — Arabic for "the oasis" — is the wellbeing floor of the Museum of the Future, designed as a deliberate counterpoint to the technology-driven experiences that precede it. Set in clay-lined surroundings, the space replaces screens and digital media with a sequence of sensory "therapies" focused on movement, grounding and human connection, centred on a contemplative light installation by Jason Bruges Studio. After imagining cities in space and libraries of vanished species, visitors are invited to slow down, breathe and reconnect with their own senses. ALWAHA presents wellbeing not as a luxury but as essential to any liveable future, making the case that a meaningful tomorrow must leave room for the human as much as the technological. The experience is included in general admission and forms the closing chapter of the museum's "Journey of the Pioneers."
