Lawh wa Qalam keeps Husain's late Qatar years visible: bold modernism, Arabic calligraphy and the artist's own imagination inside Education City.
Lawh wa Qalam: M. F. Husain Museum opened in Education City in November 2025 under Qatar Foundation. Architect Martand Khosla realised a sketch drawn by Husain in a building of more than 3,000 square metres. Four galleries trace the modernist master's creative journey through paintings, personal belongings, archival materials and multimedia installations, including the Arab Civilization series and his final kinetic work Seeroo fi al ardh. The museum also offers a library, creative studio, café and the Film Tower. Entry is free.
