The Cultural Foundation serves as Abu Dhabi’s multidisciplinary cultural hub, housed in a prominent postmodern heritage building originally conceptualised by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Established in 1973, temporarily closed in 2009, and reopened in 2018, the institution presents a year-round visual arts programme focused on modern and contemporary art from the UAE and the wider region. Alongside its exhibition space, it operates a state-of-the-art children’s library, a performing arts series, and extensive educational initiatives for schools and groups.
