UMI GALLERY — gallery cover

Curatorial Ethos

Operating under the motto 'The easiest gallery to buy from,' Umi Gallery focuses on making art accessible to collectors, office workers, and tourists through a wide-ranging inventory of paintings, prints, and sculptures. It serves as a retail hub for both established international stars and respected Japanese modern masters, offering comprehensive data and overseas shipping services.

Umi Gallery is a commercial art gallery located in Kanda Jimbocho, Tokyo, operating from the Fuzanbo Building B1. Established over 34 years ago, it currently maintains a permanent collection of over 200 works by artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Yoshitomo Nara, Takashi Murakami, and Tsuguharu Foujita. The gallery also operated the Museum of Contemporary Art, Karuizawa, which closed in autumn 2025, while the Tokyo gallery continues its regular operations.
