Tomio Koyama Gallery (Tennoz Space)

Curatorial Ethos

The gallery aims to generate foundational currents for Japanese contemporary art by introducing young Japanese artists globally and presenting diverse works from established masters to new talents beyond national or genre boundaries. It seeks to develop the contemporary art market through original perspectives that bridge domestic and international audiences.

Tomio Koyama Gallery is a commercial gallery founded in 1996 in Tokyo, currently operating four locations: Roppongi, Kyobashi (opened November 2024), Tennoz, and Maebashi. The gallery represents prominent Japanese and international artists such as Kishio Suga, Mika Ninagawa, Hiroshi Sugito, and Richard Tuttle, while also featuring ceramic artists. It maintains an active exhibition schedule across its spaces and participates regularly in international art fairs.
