The gallery’s programme focuses on introducing outstanding Japanese art across history, aiming to help collectors rediscover overlooked cultural treasures and appreciate the depth of traditional techniques and spirit. It serves as a comprehensive platform for art advisory, authentication, valuation, and the promotion of both established masters and contemporary artists.
Shukado is a commercial gallery located in the Sone Building, Ginza, Tokyo, established in 2003 as Syukado Co., Ltd. Under the direction of representative Toru Tanaka, the gallery specializes in the sale and acquisition of Japanese fine arts, including Nihonga, Yōga, calligraphy, prints, and ceramics from the Edo period to the present day. The venue operates a physical showroom for viewing works alongside online sales channels and participates in international art fairs such as ART TAIPEI.
