MISA SHIN GALLERY — gallery cover

Curatorial Ethos

The gallery aims to transcend artistic boundaries by exploring connections with architecture, theatre, and other disciplines, while re-evaluating the historical positioning of first-line artists. Its programme focuses on providing new insights into post-war Japanese art, particularly through a lens that highlights 1960s–1970s Japanese conceptualism.

MISA SHIN GALLERY is a commercial art gallery located in Minato-ku, Tokyo, which opened in November 2010 in a former ironworks building before relocating to Minamiazabu in August 2018. The venue presents high-quality exhibitions featuring outstanding domestic and international artists, maintaining an active programme of solo and group shows. It operates Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 to 19:00.
