Gallery Kogure — gallery cover

Curatorial Ethos

The gallery internationally introduces artists defined by 'Object beauty' (unwavering aesthetic presence), 'Super technique' (masterful craftsmanship often rooted in traditional skills), and 'Neo-culturalism' (unique works reflecting modern Japanese backgrounds within a multicultural context).

Gallery Kogure is a commercial gallery founded in 2006 by Director Hiroshi Kogure, who previously worked at an art gallery in Ginza for 18 years. The primary location operates in Kanda-Jinbocho, Tokyo, while satellite spaces in Kanazawa and Kyoto are currently closed or relocated. The gallery presents exhibitions in more than ten countries annually and maintains an online shop for artworks.
