Curatorial Ethos

The gallery focuses on re-evaluating post-war Japanese art while simultaneously supporting young artists, aiming to promote excellent works regardless of fame. It operates with a motto of sustainable practice based on decades of experience, providing opportunities for appreciation by art professionals and the general public.

FUMA Contemporary Tokyo is a commercial gallery located in the Nagasaki Building, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. It operates as the modern art department of Bunkyo Art, which was founded in 1982 and has moved through several locations including Ginza, Yaesu, and Hatchingbori. The gallery maintains a long history of promoting both established post-war artists and emerging talents through solo exhibitions and international art fairs.
