Curatorial Ethos
With a focus on visuality and concept, CON_ crosses various expressive cultures including contemporary art, music, and other activities as crucial organic movements. The gallery aims to rethink and reshape Tokyo’s urban culture by organizing programs born from research and dialogue with artists to build new contexts taken from contemporaneousness.
CON_ is a contemporary art gallery located on the fourth floor of the Maruka building in Nihonbashi-Bakurocho, Tokyo, which opened in April 2022. Co-founded by Hisatomo Kato and GILLOCHINDOX☆GILLOCHINDAE (who serves as director), the space operates Thursday through Sunday from 14:00 to 19:00. The gallery presents physical exhibitions and off-site projects featuring both emerging and established artists.
