Curatorial Ethos
The gallery's fundamental purpose is to promote, represent, and support new and innovative works by major Korean artists, aiming to develop relationships between art, artists, audiences, and collectors. Gallery IHN strives to bridge the gap between the public and art through high-quality exhibitions that reflect diverse spectra of modern and contemporary art, while also introducing young rising artists alongside established names.
Gallery IHN is a leading contemporary art gallery in Seoul, South Korea, established in April 1989 by Ihn Yang and currently directed by him. Located in the Samcheong-dong area near Gyeongbokgung Palace, the gallery operates two showrooms dedicated to exhibiting major Korean artists across painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and installations. It serves as a consultant to major museums and public art institutions while acting as a precursor to Korean contemporary art on both domestic and international markets.
