Curatorial Ethos

BB&M seeks to integrate curatorial perspectives from outside the commercial sector and embrace adjacent disciplines to sustain an expansive engagement with the breadth of contemporary visual culture. Its programme spans painting, sculpture, installation, and digital media, featuring both established Korean figures and rising international voices.

BB&M is a contemporary art gallery located at 10 Seongbuk-ro 23-gil in Seoul, South Korea, operating Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm. Founded in 2009 as a curatorial advisory and established as an independent gallery with its current space opening in 2021, it is led by Founding Principal James B. Lee and Principal Si Young Hur. The gallery maintains a multigenerational roster of artists, including Lee Bul, Bae Young-whan, Jinjoon Lee, Alex Dodge, and Haevan Lee.
