Curatorial Ethos
The gallery focuses on experimentation and research into individual and socio-anthropological issues, viewing the artist as a privileged observer of social phenomena. Its multidisciplinary programme investigates concepts such as identity, space, architecture, anthropology, and nature, aiming to bridge Italian and international artistic audiences without geographical boundaries.
Established in October 2006 by Sara Zanin, z2o Sara Zanin is a contemporary art gallery currently operating from Via Alessandro Volta 34 in Rome's Testaccio district. The gallery also manages z2o Project at Via Baccio Pontelli 16, a renovated research space conceived for site-specific projects and artist residencies. It participates in major Italian art fairs and shares projects with national and international institutions.
