Nick Mauss
Nick Mauss (born 1980 in New York) lives and works in New York and Paris. His multidisciplinary practice uses drawing to move between mediums and spaces – reverse glass painting, ceramics, textile, paper, sculpture, performance and writing – and often takes the form of exhibitions he conceives, shedding light on forgotten historical archives. He has exhibited at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Kunsthalle Basel, the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris, Fondation Louis Vuitton, Museum Ludwig, Serralves and the Walker Art Center, and his work is in collections including MoMA, the Whitney and M+.
Jutta Koether
Jutta Koether (born 1958 in Cologne) is a German painter, musician and critic based in New York and Berlin. She began her career in Cologne’s art and music scenes of the early 1980s, writing for the magazine Spex, and has since used painting as a critical tool, exploring its conditions of production and the politics of colour, with a particular focus on red. She was Professor of Painting and Drawing at the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg from 2010 to 2024 and received the Helen Frankenthaler Award for Painting in 2025; a first major survey was organised by Museum Brandhorst and Mudam Luxembourg in 2018.
