Curatorial Ethos

The gallery presents a multidisciplinary programme of contemporary art, showcasing painting, drawing, and works on paper through regular solo and group exhibitions. It focuses on presenting diverse artistic voices, ranging from post-ironic sensibilities to traditional figurative painting, within a commercial framework.

The Journal Gallery is a contemporary art gallery with locations in New York and Los Angeles, founded by Julia Dippelhofer and Michael Nevin in 2004. The New York location is situated at 45 White Street, while the Los Angeles space is located at 9055 Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood. The gallery operates year-round, hosting solo and group exhibitions featuring established and emerging artists.
