Curatorial Ethos
The program is rooted in concrete minimal abstraction with an emphasis on light, materiality, and sculptural aesthetics, while remaining open to any work engaged in the present contemporary dialogue. In addition to representing artists, Pablo's Birthday regularly stages concept-based group exhibitions in collaboration with curators that explore a broad array of positions and mediums.
Pablo's Birthday is a commercial gallery located at 105 Hudson Street in TriBeCa, New York, with an additional presence in Verbier, Switzerland. Founded by Arne Zimmermann in 2002 as a not-for-profit entity, it transitioned to a commercial model in 2004 and relocated to its current Lower Manhattan address in 2021. The gallery maintains a year-round programme of solo and group exhibitions featuring both represented artists and curated projects.
