Curatorial Ethos

The gallery nurtures decades-long practices with more than thirty artists and estates, cultivating meaningful relationships with institutions and collectors through a dynamic program that spans both contemporary works and historical surveys.

Luhring Augustine Tribeca is a commercial gallery located at 17 White Street in New York, operating as one of the two primary NYC spaces for the gallery founded by Lawrence Luhring and Roland Augustine in 1985. The Tribeca location opened in 2020 to provide a distinctive platform alongside the Chelsea space, which has been based there since 1998. Under the leadership of Lawrence Luhring, Donald Johnson Montenegro, and Lauren Wittels, the gallery presents groundbreaking contemporary and rigorous historical exhibitions featuring an international roster of artists spanning generations.
