Curatorial Ethos

The gallery explores diverse ways to make exhibitions and exist as a space where time and relation are progressive and simultaneous. Kurimanzutto seeks to foment conversations between the international and the local, establishing an exchange of ideas that transcends national borders.

Kurimanzutto is a commercial gallery founded in the late 1990s by Mónica Manzutto, José Kuri, and Gabriel Orozco, originally conceived as a nomadic entity to support emerging Mexican artists. The gallery operates permanent spaces in Mexico City and New York, presenting contemporary art through solo and group exhibitions. It maintains a history of itinerant projects and collaborative dialogues between local and international artistic communities.
